Work today so that you can benefit tomorrow

A grasshopper was bouncing around, tweeting, and singing loudly on a hot day in a field.

An Ant passed by, bearing along with great effort an ear of corn he was taking to his nest

 

Instead of working your life away, the Grasshopper suggested, "why don't you come and chat with me?"

 

The Ant advised you to do the same because I am assisting with food storage for the winter.

 

"Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper

 

"We currently have enough of food."

Short Stories but the Ant went on its way and continued its toil

When winter arrived, the grasshopper discovered that it was starving to death while watching the ants share the corn and grain they had stored during the summer every day.

Then the Grasshopper knew.....
